*DB: "In 1978 while in Mombasa, Kenya I came across a street vendor who was making little chess pieces right there on the sidewalk. I bought a set from him and kept them at home for all these years and then, when I had my show in 1995 in Cork Street, London I had the idea of remaking them on a much larger scale in chrome plate. The idea of fetishizing them in a shiny expensive looking material was directly influenced by Jeff Koons. It was a way of sealing forever my experiences and the present event in my life."

*This unfortunate play was first performed at the Globe Theatre in London in February of 2002. It had but one performance owing to the hideous construction playing the part of the Minotaur.
Comprehension was further inhibited by the density and complexity of the script written in part by a Macintosh Quadra 650 computer. These fourteen pieces of memorabilia were lovingly collected by Sadd admirer David Bowie and are displayed for your pleasure and curiosity.
Mixed Media Prints containing: Charcoal Drawings of Minotaur by David Bowie - Grid Pattern from Shuffle Computer Game - Still from Home Video - Various magazine photographs of paintings.
Computer Composition with Photoshop, Painter and Kid Pix.
There are fourteen prints in the edition numbered 1/14 to 14/14. There are two artist's proofs marked AP 1/2 and AP 2/2.
The Frontispiece of each portfolio has been hand coloured by the artist.
The prints were completed at F.F. Burman of London.
The information on the SyQuest disk from which the editorial was completed has been destroyed.

Crankin' Out Fanzine competition.

*This piece was originally untitled, but David decided a competition was to be held in the Crankin' Out fanzine to determine a title for the artwork. The competition winner was Nicky Young of Weybridge, Surrey, England.

DB letter: "I've done a small print exclusively for you and I hope you like it. It incorporates a couple of sketches of mine which I fed into my computer and rearranged somewhat. It doesn't have a title so maybe the "Crankies" could come up with one.".

The design was made up from two other pieces, one being Old Master that was exhibited in New Afro/Pagan And Work 1975-1995.

**Artwork and letter sold on 17th March 2013 for £598 GBP.
