David Bowie WonderworldTHE WEB MAGAZINE
Artists like David Bowie, who have been dissected by the media time and time again, are often less understood than before they went under the zeitgeist microscope. The best way to discover an artist is through his or her own (unedited) words. And that's exactly what this new fan-created site offers. Read through Bowie's self-penned tour diary from 1974 to '75 (originally published in Mirabelle) and scores of interviews and excerpts. You'll also find links, photos, tour schedules, screen savers, and more on this appropriately arty site. - E.H.

Another totally gone Bowie fan has flown off the deep end with a hyper-obsessive neon shrine to da boy wonder. This site claims an award from The Web 'zine. It's got views of Bowie art, a nifty trivia page, a trading post for collectors, a sizeable press archive and the part I liked best, a great selection of recent news briefs. The huge photo picture gallery was slow as molasses being overpacked with scores of thumbnails you click for biggies. Can't vouch for anybody's familiar-photo sources but the web master even did some nifty mugging with our subject in at least four photos. This site is a piece of work recommended for an occasional repeat visit. Very artistic layout.DBTS

David Bowie Wonderworld
Rating: 4.0/4.0
This enormous site is the creation of a Bowie fan from way back. It's a little cluttered and can take a dog's age to load, but once you start exploring, it's all worth the wait.
Paul - We are producing a television program on David Bowie called "Legends" for VH1 in the U.S. I was just checking out your web site. It is really amazing, looks great!Mark Strigl - VH1 Associate Producer
This site is incredible! VH1.com are putting up a page dedicated to DAVID BOWIE to celebrate his being made artist of the month for October. In association with that, I'd like to give you a VH1.com Best of the Web award.Charles Bottomley - VH1.com
I'm afraid once our users get to Little Wonderworld they won't want to leave! If my eyes go bleary reading the diaries and press clippings you've got up, I suppose I only have my own fanaticism to blame.
Rock on,
Little Wonderworld is also good. Paul (wisely) skips the lyrics pages, but has an excellent library of articles, which are easy to download and don't take up huge amounts of memory. He also features Bowie's 'diary' which was published in Mirabelle magazine in 1974-75. Silly, enjoyable and no references to cocaine!Cliff McLenehan
"...Get some sleep you mad bastard!"Mark Adams - Daily Express/Daily Star
"...it's so BIG!"Ginny Nelson - JAC Publicity and Marketing Ltd.
Little Wonderworld is right up there with the very best of the myriad unofficial Bowie sites to have sprung up in the last few years. It's a hot mix of breaking news, gossip, reviews and trivia (as those wonderfully silly, though perversely enthralling, Mirabelle diaries attest!). But what would you expect from a man who's possibly been photographed with our man more times than any other fan (just see the 'Who Am I? section).David Buckley author of 'David Bowie: Strange Fascination', a new Bowie biography to be published next year.
LITTLE WONDERWORLDInternet Magazine - Britain's Most Popular Internet Magazine.
Unofficial but comprehensive site dedicated to the Thin White Duke and built by superfan Paul A. Kinder. We especially liked the jiggling David Bowie on the front page and the Bowie jokes in the Funstuff section.
Hey, Mr. Kinder, very nice new look you've got going on your site (bowiewonderworld). A clean job. I'm trying to do a clean up on BowieArt too, but I only have time for one page every now and then so that will be SO ongoing it will seem like forever to finish it. On the other hand, it's never finished is it. It's like those huge battleships that take a year to paint then they have to go back to the prow and atert all over again immediately they're finished. Except to complete the analogy they'd have to change colour each time. Pretty pink, maybe. I see officers considering fabrics from Libertys' or maybe a Wenge veneer.© DAVID BOWIE
"But, no, Peter. Wenge is SO this year, it will be ancient by the time we finish. Stay with warm pastels and they'll never let you down."
Thank you so much, Site people, for the good wishes. It made my morning. Yes, I do refer to all you Wildlifers and Wonderworlds and so on. I never get over how much effort you put into your work. It's extraordinarily mad and quite amazing.© DAVID BOWIE
