Lumber, loiter, linger, lag
The bottle beckons, the nectar woos
Bender binge, jackass jag
The stiff carouser the punch pursues

Tranquil surface, bats inside
Thirsty souls bluff and brag
Hit rock bottom flying high
Fidget, falter, fumble, flag

Rabid moon, hatter mad
Rambling loon, padded pad
Jacket straight, bedbug gone
Crackpot date, tosspot pawn

Drain the cup like a fish
Rum and whiskey all the time
Trip again into the ditch
The deep ravine of a barroom mind
