Compassionate republican
Self-deluded underlings
Of the Antileftist Middle Wing

Pull venerable skin
So hermetically tight
Nothing ever gets in
But the dead of the night

Reaching groveling heights
In a novocaine spin
Lapdogs take delight
In the right to win

Redeemed by a quiver
Or a slithery grin
Or the icicle slivers
Of rancorous kin

Earth Mother in a jam
It's always the same
They don't give a damn
Who breaks the dame
