HARRIDAN
by Nevada Kerr
It's crucial that I go first
There's a worm inside my pie
Plagued by an urgent thirst
To milk and bilk and bribe
Barren and grim-visaged
Quivering with rage
Dauntless in camouflage
With both feet in the grave
She trips me up and sucks me in
And takes me for a ride
Rupturing the truth within
And blinding my good eye
Ensuring me my money's worth
Of her dirt cheap stock in trade
Her sticky fingers in every purse
Like a newborn guzzling babe
They call her no such thing by day
Extracting claw by night
The dark abyss who has her way
As I moan and groan and bite
