TOUCHED
by Nevada Kerr
I don't know what to make of you
I've given up the chase
At once in places more than two
Without a blemish on your face
A weary jester feeling witty
You preen and make a scene
A deafmute ghost arousing pity
There's no humor in your screams
With the ebb and flow you come and go
Spouting riddles in between
Spreading terror-joy and merry woe
And laughing up your sleeve
I honor the unknown beyond
This unseen sea of lies
The half dead and the semi-born
Who refuse to compromise
Nightmare rapture demon whore
Exciting hope and fear
I think of you and think no more
You're more than I can bear
