ADAPTATION
by Nevada Kerr
Too much stimulation
I had to readjust
Now I'm more fit for existence
And I'll never rust
Body parts come and go
But some things stay the same
My kaleidoscopic vision
Your agitated brain
My benefactor taught me well
I'm thouroughly removed
Your emotions are inadequate
They can not be improved
I was built for speed and power
Ways and means beyond your ken
My cells divide in your final hour
A threat to all your kin
This environment is suitable
I can fester here for years
Decisive and inscrutable
In spite of all your tears
