AIRS
by Nevada Kerr
In your absence I imagine
A paradise on Earth
A gold pot for the ghost
Too resigned to boast
Jet-propelled in flight
Growing dim when you alight
Now and then from time to time
With an airbrush I'm sublime
Blowing hard and hot
For the faith and hope I lost
A cold wind from the past
So rare I'm bound to last
I'm floating like a bubble
Too weighed down to burst
Like a vain and prideful ass
Or a subtle poison gas
Forgive my self-esteem
I'm only spray and steam
A blue moon know-it-all
Full of stormy dreams
