Can I persuade you my hired hand
Can I convince you with a kiss
Is there someone else that you command
Is there something that I missed

You're so cheap but I approve
You've been chosen for the night
You've got nothing left to prove
You can't lose, you're young and white

I'm too arty for the common man
But I really can't resist
The dilettante without a plan
Is always on my list

You're solid and adaptable
And disturbingly discreet
You flatter me with soothing words
And even lick my feet

I know you're not my social class
I saw you in that van
But the way you look I'll let it pass
After all you're quite a fan
