EMPIRE

In the church and in the army
I subdued my youthful wrath
Nothing now can ever harm me
On this straight and narrow path

I promise to uphold
And abide by all the rules
Always doing what I'm told
That's why I stayed in school

I'm ready for the nine to five
How could I resist
So happy to be half alive
So grateful to exist

I'll make my parents proud
My honor's all I need
The faith that God endowed
His naked truth, my creed

A citizen, I serve the state
Cross my heart and hope to die
Responding to the call of fate
This flag, my only guide
