I've seen a magician of the stage...

Just got back from Wembley and I'm knocked out.

It seems to me the buzz on these boards up to the show has all been about old versus new, greatest hits versus obscure stuff, casual fans and dedicated fans. Long sets versus short sets

BUT the man rose above that had a bit of everything but most of all I saw a man with supreme ability to sing songs he's written and to perform them with a genius for interpreting his own work.

Especially the 'slow' bit in the middle

- I cried in Life on Mars
- I was amazed and haunted by the delivery of The Motel
- I was moved by the beauty of Loving The Alien
- Spaceboy was performed like a piece of theatre

It was just f**king great!
