There is a DAVID BOWIE feature in the forthcoming issue of MOJO magazine for June (issue 223).
The Beach Boys are featured on the cover and the Bowie blurb states: 'Bowie Writes'.
Don't get too excited though it isn't anything brand new. The article is based around Sukita's new book which features some of David's comments and thoughts that are taken from the Speed Of Life publication.
Their contents index states: David Bowie: The man himself remembers, dissects and annotates a stunning series of portraits taken over the years by his court photographer, Sukita.

As predicted there are lots and lots of the Record Store Day exclusive release of DAVID BOWIE's 'Starman' / 'Starman' (TOTP Mix) over on eBay
Sellers from multiple countries are listing the 7" picture disc, which is numbered and housed in a clear plastic sleeve.
I suggest that if you're after a copy then get hold of one in the next few days. The prices seem to be holding at between £28-£38 GBP mark. Not bad considering that if you queued up for hours you had to pay anywhere between £12 and £15 in the record stores anyway.
There are plenty of ridiculous BuyItNow prices, I would ignore these for now. Get one while you can. Once 1,000 Bowie collectors get hold of theirs, the prices will start to creep up.
Check out eBay and tweak the search results page if necessary.
Over in the USA, there were two other Bowie-related RSD exclusive releases specifically for the American market...
The Mick Rock Tins were on sale in the USA. I'm sure you already know that these were available in Europe for £20 for quite a while now. The collectors tin contains an exclusive red coloured 7" single 'Starman' / 'Suffragette City' and a 128-page photo book.
If you are in Europe and are still after one of these at the original listed price pop on over to Loudclothing.com - plenty are available without paying silly money. Unfortunately the Bowie tins have been out of stock for quite a while over at mickrockcollectables.com
Also released was a 3,500 limited edition 7" single from JIMMY FALLON of 'Tebowie', backed with 'Reading Rainbow'.
Released on the Warner Bros label, this again was a RSD Exclusive Release and the first time this has been physically available.
More details and information can be found over at recordstoreday.com and recordstoreday.co.uk websites.
• There are already quite a few listings on eBay for the 2012 Record Store Day Exclusive of DAVID BOWIE's Starman / Starman (Top of the Pops Mix 6/7/72) on a very limited edition 7 inch picture disc. • The European Union's anti-trust regulators on Thursday approved SONY CORPORATION's $2.2 billion acquisition of EMI's publishing business, which would create the world's largest music publishing group with rights to about 2 million songs including some by DAVID BOWIE, Stevie Wonder and others...
• MARKS AND SPENCER had a Terry O'Neill range of items on sale which included notebooks, ceramic and travel mugs, wash bags, diaries and calendars. One of particular interest to you all is the DAVID BOWIE A6 Notebook which features a great photograph by Terry. This mini notebook features an eyecatching photograph of David during the Diamond Dogs photo sessions, with a description from Terry O'Neill on the reverse. The book contains lined pages and has an unusual fabric type feel to the cover. Apparently these have been on sale for quite a while - [Thanks to SweetyThang for the pointer]...
Reminder: Don't forget that this coming weekend (Saturday 21st) EMI Records will release a 2012 Record Store Day Exclusive of DAVID BOWIE's Starman / Starman (Top of the Pops Mix 6/7/72) on a very limited edition 7 inch picture disc. (Cat. No. EMI DBSTAR40 / 5099955979177).
If you can't make it to any participating record stores on Saturday - a dealer from Canada already has one up for grabs over on eBay and I'm sure there will be plenty of other listings shortly.

Be on the look-out for an upcoming episode of DEALERS - broadcast on the Discovery Channel - where DAVID BOWIE artwork and memorabilia is featured and fought over!
According to their website, during the programme, dealers Scott Diament come to blows with Jenny Pat as they fight to buy the Bowie painting.
In episode six, a David Bowie fan hoping to raise funds to emigrate to Australia, brings artwork in by David, as well as a Christmas card. The 1994 Christmas card was sent out by David and Iman to 150 acquaintances which featured artwork by David.
The new series begins tomorrow 16th April at 9pm only on Discovery.
Check out the discoveryuk.com website for more details and information. A sneak preview featuring the artwork is available now to watch here.
D Head VII is a self-portrait created by David in 1995 and is acrylic and computer collage on canvas. If you are a major collector and maybe interested in purchasing this artwork feel free to email me and I will forward on the seller details. In terms of price, the seller would like offers in the region of £5,000 GBP (plus postage and packaging).
I'm sure you all know the name LEEE BLACK CHILDERS - photographer and ex MainMan employee.
Leee first met David when he was the stage manager for Andy Warhol's play Pork which came to London in 1971. The majority of the Pork entourage ended up working for MainMan.
Leee worked for MainMan in the Seventies and took many photographs of DAVID BOWIE whilst on the road and live on-stage.
You now have the opportunity to purchase some of his fabulous photographs. Each photograph is sized at 7x9 on 8.5x11 high quality photo paper and are each pesonally signed by Leee.
The photographs include David on the Trans-Siberian Railway travelling back to his home country after his successful worldwide tour, David in Red Square in front of the Kremlin and on stage during The 1980 Floor Show at the Marquee in London.
There is also a set of 4 live photographs taken onstage (in the wings out of sight) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City in February 1973.
There is also a photograph of Amanda Lear in her Octobriana get-up (note the star on her forehead). Although Leee didn't take this photograph (I think it was taken by Karl Stoecker) it looks like a MainMan arranged photo session for the promotion of the cancelled Octobriana project that David was intending to produce with Amanda.
Be sure to check out his other photographs of Mick Ronson with Ian Hunter, Iggy and The Stooges and Jayne County amongst many others.

PREFACE TO PUBLISH BOWIE CELEBRATION BY DYLAN JONES TO COINCIDE WITH 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF ICONIC TOP OF THE POPS 'STARMAN' BROADCAST.
Preface Publisher Trevor Dolby has bought world rights to When Ziggy Played Guitar: David Bowie and Four Minutes that Shook the World by Dylan Jones from Ed Victor at Ed Victor Ltd.
For each generation there are certain moments that become cultural turning points. For Dylan Jones, the urbane, influential long-standing editor of GQ magazine, and many others of his generation, they will pick out the same moment. July 6th 1972 at 7.25 and 33 seconds. Top of the Pops. When David Bowie sang Starman in the guise of Ziggy Stardust.
With a tall, flame-orange cockade quiff (stolen from a Kansai Yamamoto model on the cover of Honey), lavishly applied make-up, white nail polish, and wearing a multi-coloured jump-suit that looked as though it were made from fluorescent fish skin (chosen by Ziggy co-shaper, the designer Freddie Burretti), and carrying a brand spanking new blue acoustic guitar, Bowie appeared not so much as a pop singer, but rather as some sort of benevolent alien. Suddenly Bowie - a man called Alias - had the world at his nail-varnished fingertips, and in no time at all he would be the biggest star in the world.
When Ziggy Played Guitar will be published just ahead of the 40th anniversary of the broadcast on 6th July. Dylan Jones has had unique access and the book will be illustrated with previously unseen photographs.
Dolby said: 'I was in the Wolseley in Piccadilly with the editor of GQ moaning that we had known each other nearly twenty years and where the f**k had the time gone. As blokes do - remember Robert Redford in The Way We Were? - we started 'best concert? best single? best album? best Debbie Harry moment?...' When Dylan announced that above all the key moment in his and his mate Tony Parson's youth was 6th July 1972 at 7.25pm. I leapt from my seat, 'David Bowie sings Starman on TOTPs!' I shouted, and When Ziggy Played Guitar was born...'
Dylan Jones is the multi-award winning Editor of GQ magazine. He has been an editor at i-D magazine, The Face, Arena, The Observer and The Sunday Times. He writes for the Mail on Sunday, is a Vice President of the Hay Festival and a board member of the Norman Mailer Foundation. He has written ten books and is currently working with U2 on a book celebrating their record-breaking 360 Tour, due from Preface late 2012.
When Ziggy Played Guitar will be published in hardback on 28th June.
You can now pre-order When Ziggy Played Guitar: David Bowie and Four Minutes that Shook the World NOW and receive a 47% discount.

There are two DAVID BOWIE exhibitions currently taking place in Limerick City, Ireland.
Curated by Michele Horrigan 'SPIDERS FROM MARS' features artists: Andrew Dodds, Jeronimo Hagerman, Louise Manifold, Mark McGreevy and Oswaldo Ruiz.
The Belltable and Occupy Space present Spiders from Mars, two exhibitions experimentally linking a series of contemporary art positions to David Bowie's 1972 concept album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars.
Ziggy Stardust is an alien from a faraway galaxy struggling against the temptations and vices of earth while attempting to give humanity a message of hope in the last five years of its existence. With the world about to end due to all natural resources being exhausted, Ziggy ends up in a rock 'n' roll band, but with no electricity left to play his message aloud. Rebellious youth then go out and pillage the planet's remains.
Imagined as a loose cohort of reactionaries, the artists in Spiders From Mars twist and contort the environments around them, exposing numerous possibilities for otherworldly encounters in everyday experience. Ziggy's predicament is situated and played out in Limerick City centre, an urban agglomeration now verging on an apocalyptic recessional dilemma, a place where visual artists and independently-led art spaces have now plundered and taken over the city's commercial core.
Opening Times:
Occupy Space: exhibition runs until 28th April, Wednesday - Saturday, 1-5pm.
The Belltable: exhibition runs until 11th May, Monday - Friday, 10am-5pm.
Links: occupyspace.com and belltable.ticketsolve.com
There are also screenings of Labyrinth on Saturday 28th April at 3.30pm and The Man Who Fell to Earth at 5.30pm both at The Belltable Theatre, 69 O'Connell Street, Limerick.

U.K. RELEASE DATE: JUNE 4, 2012
U.S. RELEASE DATE: JUNE 5, 2012
EMI is excited to announce the release of a 40th anniversary edition of David Bowie's truly groundbreaking and hugely influential album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars.
Originally released through RCA Victor on 6th June 1972, Ziggy Stardust was David Bowie's fifth album, co-produced by Bowie and Ken Scott. Incredibly, the album was written whilst Bowie was recording 1971's Hunky Dory album, with recording beginning a couple of months before that album's release. It was recorded at Trident Studios, London between 8th November 1971 and 4th February 1972, with the line up: Mick Ronson (guitar, piano, backing vocals, string arrangements), Trevor Bolder (bass), Mick Woodmansey (drums), Rick Wakeman (keyboards) and backing vocals on 'It Ain't Easy' by Dana Gillespie. As well as performing vocals, Bowie also played acoustic guitar, saxophone and harpsichord on the album and was involved in the arrangements, too.
The album eventually peaked at #5 on the UK Album Chart on 22nd July having entered the chart at #15 on 1st July. Key to the album's rise in the UK were the two TV performances of 'Starman' on Granada TV's Lift Off With Ayshea and nationally on the BBC's Top Of The Pops. The album's influence is immeasurable - it converted legions of fans, becoming the zeitgeist and a major influence on the next generation, particular those who were involved in the punk movement - musicians, artists, designers - and the subsequent re-birth of rock and pop.
Famously Bowie killed Ziggy at his peak at London's Hammersmith Odeon, on July 3rd, 1973, though Ziggy Stardust's influence was to redefine popular culture forever: pop music was never the same again.
This 40th anniversary edition has been remastered by original Trident Studios engineer Ray Staff (at London's Air Studios). It will be available on CD and a special, limited edition format of vinyl featuring the new 2012 remaster with a 5.1 mix and high resolution audio on DVD - the DVD features previously unreleased 5.1 and stereo bonus 2003 Ken Scott mixes of Moonage Daydream (instrumental), The Supermen, Velvet Goldmine and Sweet Head.

Former DAVID BOWIE backing singer HOLLY PALMER has teamed up with Lucy Woodward and Michelle Lewis to form a new band THE GOODS.
Holly says we are basically what it would sound like if Bridgette Jones and The Andrews Sisters got together and started freaking out. Their first show was in Los Angeles last Tuesday at Hotel Cafe.
After that she is off to Australia to sing with SEAL and his gang. They did six weeks in Europe last summer and she's looking forward to this next adventure. Following that, she'll be in London recording with Pete Glenister, her dear friend and songwriting partner from the first album and Tenderhooks days. They have begun work on a new solo album.
Check out hollypalmer.com for more details and information.
British artist SIR PETER BLAKE has taken inspiration from one of his most famous artworks The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club album cover to celebrate the British cultural figures he most admires as he marks his 80th birthday.
Blake states: "I've chosen people I admire, great people and some who are dear friends. "I had a very long list of people who I wanted to go in but couldn't fit everyone in - I think that shows how strong British culture and its legacy of the last six decades is."
Blake digitally created the 2012 version rather than assembling and hand-colouring cardboard cut outs as he did for the 1967 cover of Sgt. Pepper, but still found the work very time consuming.
This new revised version has been created for a special birthday celebration of Peter's life at Wayne Hemingway's Vintage Festival at Boughton House, Northamptonshire, in July.
Hemingway, co-founder of the Red or Dead fashion brand, said: "The new artwork is a tribute to Britain's standing as the world's leading creative nation."
Wayne Hemingway said: It was "an incredible honour" for Blake to "reimagine such an iconic work of art". "We are proud to be dedicating the Sunday at Vintage this year to celebrate his 80th birthday and creative and cultural legacy."
So see who you can spot? Obviously DAVID BOWIE is included.
