Available now to purchase is the brand new book DAVID BOWIE IN HUNGER CITY, NEW YORK 1974 from Cygnet Committee.
This second 40-page limited edition fan-published book focuses on the two dates at Madison Square Garden on 19th and 20th July 1974.
David Bowie's all-singing, all-dancing, all-hydraulic-lifting Year of the Diamond Dogs show was arguably the most elaborate and theatrical of his career. And even now, 40 years later, the tour retains its air of fascination. 'Bowie in Hunger City' tells the full story of what happened when Bowie's futuristic rock theatre revue rolled into New York City in July 1974.
Full details, purchasing information and photo art print-sets can be found at the cygnetcommittee.co.uk website.

Manola recorded in New York with some familiar names... Gerry Leonard, Zachary Alford, Earl Slick, Sara Lee.
If you can read Spanish, check out this interview via lavanguardia.com website.
Roughly translated lyrics are as follows...
Last night I dreamt of David Bowie
I met him, I said to him when passing:
I do not want to bother you, sir, but I have to tell you:
Thank you, thank you very much
Thanks for a living making people happy
Thank you for a life making people feel happy
Thanks for that life, the breath of life.
He mumbled something, and he has gone around
Wiping a tear, welling ascending from the centre of the world
Butterflies flew from his lips
Thanks for a living making people happy
Thank for for a life making people feel happy
Thanks for that life, the breath of life
I woke up thinking that everyone plays their cards
I woke up thinking that everyone runs their assets

DAVID BOWIE has released his brand new promotional video for his new single SUE (OR IN A SEASON OF CRIME).
The video for SUE was filmed in New York and London and directed by Tom Hingston and Jimmy King. The track was recorded earlier this year with the Maria Schneider Orchestra and produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti.
SUE (OR IN A SEASON OF CRIME is the new single from David Bowie taken from the forthcoming definitive collection of Bowie's music NOTHING HAS CHANGED both are released in the UK on Parlophone November 17th.
The exclusive premiere of the official music video is hosted by muzu.tv
Released digitally today in the UK is a brand new demo 2014 track from DAVID BOWIE entitled: 'Tis A Pity She Was A Whore.
The song features on the b-side soon-to-be released 10 inch vinyl release Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) on 17th November via Parlophone in the UK.
The track had its world premiere this morning on BBC 6 Music at 9.45am on the Shaun Keaveny radio show.
David describes the song as: "If Vorticists wrote Rock Music it might have sounded like this"
The song acknowledges the shocking rawness of the First World War and the title is a play on 'Tis Pity She's A Whore' a John Ford Restoration play first performed in 1629 at the Cockpit Theatre in London.
The demo track was recorded, played and written by David Bowie in his home studio.
The artwork for 'Tis A Pity She Was A Whore was again designed by Jonathan Barnbrook continuing the linking theme of the Nothing Has Changed sleeves of Bowie looking into a mirror.
'Tis A Pity She Was A Whore is also featured on the limited edition 10" single and digital bundle of Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) which was described by The Daily Telegraph as "the latest example of Bowie's genius for self-reinvention. Yes, there's the sound of a big band in the background, but it's a deeply strange sound, without a trace of nostalgia. And as for the voice, it's as uncanny as ever, but freighted with decades of experience. The song seems familiar and deeply strange at once, with an extraordinary blend of nostalgia and irony. If jazz is the "sound of surprise", then Bowie has certainly found it."
Well worth reading is a piece about DAVID BOWIE getting banned from US TV show SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE back in 1997.
"I was banned from the show," said David from his dressing room while waiting to do a soundcheck...
"The gist was that I was somehow roped into a low budget telly advert for a Brooklyn bakery. They wanted me to sing about their pastries or what have you. One of the things they came up with was a version of my song, 'Watch That Man'. But instead, in the chorus I would sing, 'Try our flan'."
Bowie took issue with the way the writers wanted him to pronounce the word "flan". While either of the two main pronunciations is generally accepted, the veteran rock star and food connoisseur was miffed at saying it the "wrong" way.
"David is a man of the world," said Michaels. "He's seen it all. And he takes food very seriously. I get that. But when you are running a big, live production like we are, last second changes can be complicated."
You can read the whole article here.

To be published next month is BOWIE'S PIANO MAN: THE LIFE OF MIKE GARSON by CLIFFORD SLAPPER (Hardback Edition ISBN: 978-1-78196-131-5).
"It is pointless to talk about his ability as a pianist. He is exceptional. However, there are very, very few musicians, let alone pianists, who naturally understand the movement and free thinking necessary to hurl themselves into experimental or traditional areas of music, sometimes, ironically, at the same time. Mike does this with such enthusiasm that it makes my heart glad just to be in the same room with him." - David Bowie on Mike Garson.
Synopsis: Mike Garson has played piano on sixteen David Bowie albums, including Aladdin Sane, with his celebrated piano solo on its title track, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, 1. Outside and Reality. He has also played live with Bowie on countless tours and shows, and remains his most long-standing and frequent band member.
For some time Clifford Slapper has been working very closely with Garson to write a book which explores the life of this extraordinary and eccentric modern musician. It documents in detail how as a pianist he was catapulted overnight from the obscure world of New York's avant-garde jazz scene to a close and long connection with Bowie. In addition, Garson is recognised as a classical virtuoso, a jazz master and one of the world's greatest exponents of improvisation. He has also recorded and performed live with other rock legends such as The Smashing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails. All of this is covered by this first ever biography of Mike Garson.
Its starting point was several days of in-depth and frank conversation with Garson himself, and covers a wide range of themes which will be of interest to all Bowie fans, but also to anyone with a passion for music, social history or the process of creative inspiration. Input has also come from many interviews with those who have worked with him over the years, including Earl Slick, Trent Reznor, Sterling Campbell, Reeves Gabrels, Dave Liebman and many others.
About the Author: Clifford Slapper is a musician and writer. After a degree in history from London University followed by various roles in education, he became one of the most sought after pianists in the UK, having performed with David Bowie, Boy George, Suggs, Lisa Stansfield, Jarvis Cocker, Galen Ayers, Angie Brown, Stereo MCs and Gary Kemp amongst many others. As a composer and arranger he has been involved in diverse and unusual projects. Together with Billie Ray Martin he created a ground-breaking series of live and partially improvised film-scores in London and Berlin for Polanski's Repulsion, and he has been writing for many other artists.
As a pianist he features on recent releases by Marc Almond and Holly Johnson, and has performed for fashion labels including McQueen and Marc Jacobs. He has also appeared in television comedy productions, having played the piano part for Bowie's appearance with Ricky Gervais on "Extras" (HBO/BBC, prod. Charlie Hanson) and played the piano as Dudley Moore in a BBC recreation of the sketches of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, presented by Jonathan Ross. He also produces and presents regular performance club nights across London incorporating cutting-edge live artists of all kinds. Aside from magazine articles, this book will be his first published work.
