DAVID BOWIE graces the front cover of Polish magazine TERAZ ROCK for their January issue.
The front cover blurb translates as: 'Silent Prince' and inside there is a three and a half-page feature, plus a full page album review, which awards ★ with 5 out of 5 stars.

The NEW YORK THEATRE WORKSHOP and TODAYTIX have announced the $25 CheapTix mobile lottery for LAZARUS - for performances beginning Monday, 28th December.
You can enter to win up to two $25 tickets to Lazarus through TodayTix the theatre ticket app. This initiative replaces the previously announced in-person lottery in an effort to increase access to tickets.
Once you download the TodayTix app from the App Store or the Google Play Store, you can enter to win each day starting at 12:01 AM. Winners are notified via push notifications 3-4 hours before the selected performance begins. Winners will be offered the opportunity to purchase up to two $25 tickets, and can pick up their tickets at the NYTW box office beginning one hour prior to curtain.
HOW TO ENTER:
1. DOWNLOAD THE TODAYTIX APP: Available in the App Store and Google Play Store.
2. ENTER THE LOTTERY: Beginning at 12:01 AM each performance day starting December 28, you can enter the lottery from the TodayTix app on your phone, once per performance.
3. KEEP PLAYING: If you don't win on the first try, don't give up! You may enter once per performance for another chance to win up to $25 CheapTix tickets.

Published this month in The Netherlands, it contains 248-pages, although written in Dutch, it features plenty of unseen photographs from 1969, 1974, 1976 and 1983.

davidbowie.com have exclusively announced details of BOWIE AT THE BEEB Limited Edition Vinyl Box Set scheduled for release on 26th February.
The set contains thirty-nine tracks on FOUR vinyl discs contained in a lift-off lid box and features a full colour twenty-page booklet.
This vinyl version features 'Oh! You Pretty Things', broadcast September 1971, which was previously exclusive to the Japanese CD release in 2000.
Completely exclusive to this collection is the once lost 'The Supermen' from the Sounds Of The 70s Andy Ferris session, broadcast in March 1970. Performed by The Hype, this recording was only rediscovered during the research for the original CD set and remained unreleased until now.

Incredibly sad news to report the passing of Tony Award winning actress/singer PATRICIA ELLIOTT on Sunday, aged seventy-seven years of age.
Patricia starred alongside DAVID BOWIE in the stage play 'The Elephant Man' in 1980/1981 on Broadway, where she wonderfully portrayed 'Mrs. Kendal'.

The GLASGOW FILM FESTIVAL 2016 have announced there is to be a special 40th Anniversary screening of THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH.
The movie directed by NIC ROEG and starring DAVID BOWIE will be shown inside the Space Zone on the spectacular full dome screen of the Glasgow Science Centre Planetarium.

David Bowie's new single 'Lazarus' taken from the album ★ (pronounced Blackstar) will be released digitally on December 18th.
'Lazarus' is the only track on ★ also featured in the stage production 'Lazarus' written by David Bowie and Enda Walsh and directed by Ivo Van Hove, which opened December 7th in New York to great critical acclaim: The New York Times raved "Ice-cold bolts of ecstasy shoot like novas through the glamorous muddle and murk of Lazarus, the great-sounding, great-looking and mind-numbing new musical built around songs by David Bowie," while Rolling Stone hailed Lazarus as a "Surrealistic Tour de Force... milk-swimming, lingerie-sniffing, gin-chugging theatre at its finest."
And on December 17th, following the single's U.S. premiere via NPR Music, the theatrical interpretation of 'Lazarus' will make the leap from stage to screen, when Michael C. Hall and the musicians from the musical perform the song on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Meanwhile the first single from ★ continues to draw universal raves from the likes of NPR ("one of the most adventurous living artists still pushing himself"), Billboard ("strange, fabulous and fascinating"), and most recently The Los Angeles Times ("a gorgeous work and more evidence that Bowie's late-career reinvention continues").

CBS TV have announced that cast members from the theatre production LAZARUS by DAVID BOWIE and ENDA WALSH will perform on the LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT on Thursday, 17th December at 11.35pm CET.
Other guests scheduled to appear on the broadcast are director Michael Moore, and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power.

Due to unprecedented demand, NYTW have announced a final extension of three additional performances for Lazarus on Monday, January 18th at 8pm, Tuesday, January 19th at 8pm, and Wednesday January 20th at 8pm.
The final performance of Lazarus on January 20th, 2016 will benefit NYTW's artistic development and education programming. Tickets are $1,000 (includes one ticket to the final performance plus a VIP invitation for two to NYTW's upcoming production of Red Speedo) and $2,500 (includes one ticket to the final performance plus access to an after-party celebrating the run and a VIP invitation for two to NYTW's upcoming productions of Red Speedo and Hadestown). Funds raised at this one-night only event support NYTW's Artist Workshop activities through which nearly 2,000 artists develop more than 80 projects each year and their Education Initiatives including Learning Workshop, Mind the Gap, and Public Programs that serve over 1,600 students of all ages. All tickets to the benefit performance include a tax-deductible contribution.

The Irish Bowie Show REBEL REBEL are throwing their annual DAVID BOWIE Birthday Bash this January 9th & 10th at The Grand Social in Dublin.
Special guest GERRY LEONARD is lined up to both guest with the band on the Saturday, and also perform a SPOOKY GHOST gig on the Sunday, as well as giving a talk about being Bowie's Musical Director.

Actor/Singer CHARLIE POLLOCK who is currently performing in the DAVID BOWIE / ENDA WALSH theatre production of LAZARUS brings some of his fellow cast to perform a free concert in Maplewood, New Jersey.
The 'Charlie Pollock & Friends' concert takes place on Monday 14th December at the Columbia High School Auditorium at 7.30pm.
Scheduled to perform are: Kevin Kern (Finding Neverland), David Josefsberg (Honeymoon in Vegas), Krystina Alabado (Lazarus, American Idiot), Krista Pioppi (Lazarus, Spring Awakening), Brynn Williams (Lazarus, Bye Bye Birdie), his world-class band of players and many more.
The event is to raise money for The Vanessa Pollock Music Initiative which benefits music education throughout SOMSD through the Achieve Foundation.

Written by freelance journalist and friend MARY FINNIGAN, the book tells the story of DAVID BOWIE's pivotal year 1969.

About the Author:
Mary Finnigan was born in Manchester, England just before the start of World War II. Marrying an older man at eighteen, she produced two children before bolting to London, where she landed a job as a fashion writer on the Daily Mirror. Her print journalism career included feature writing at the Daily Sketch, Daily Express and freelance work at the Sunday Times. During a five-year holiday from the five-day week she met David Bowie. This book tells the story of their adventures together in Beckenham. Returning to journalism, she worked as a reporter, editor and producer at Visnews, Independent Radio News and the London Broadcasting Company. She now contributes to national newspapers, online publications and BBC radio. Mary lives in Bristol in the west of England with her partner, Chris Gilchrist. She has three adult offspring and three granddaughters.
